Family Medicine in Boone, NC
Family medicine providers, or primary care providers, are your partners in person-focused (not disease-oriented) healthcare. They deal with a wide range of medical issues, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, disease prevention, obstetrics and gynecology, health maintenance, counseling, patient education. AppFamily Medicine providers can also make home visits and treat their patients while in the hospital.
AppFamily Medicine is proud to offer comprehensive primary care for your whole family, while also training the best and brightest young doctors through the MAHEC Rural Family Medicine Residency Program. This program will increase access to care for our rural populations.
Women’s Health & Prenatal Care: Welcome Dr. Beverly Womack, supervisor for the obstetric and gynecologic education for the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) Boone Rural Family Medicine Residency Program. She is teaching and supervising the family medicine resident physicians caring for women and children in the high country. While she will no longer deliver babies with her own patients, she will assist the resident doctors in obstetrics and childbirth
