Thanks to a grant from Mountain Electric Cooperative called Operation Pocket Change, Charles A. Cannon, Jr. Memorial Hospital now has two patient rooms intentionally designed for hospice care. The rooms are designed to provide comfort for the patient and their family, with a recliner and a queen size pull out sofa purchased with the $4,248.27 Operation Pocket Change grant.
Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Crossnore, NC also contributed to the project by donating coffee makers for each room. In addition, artwork was donated by local photographers to decorate the walls and create a calming environment.
Cannon Memorial Hospital is proud to continue to work with area hospice providers and community partners to ensure that patients receive the best in hospice care.
For more information, please contact the Cannon Memorial Hospital Care Management Department at 828-737-7596 or your local Hospice provider. “Thank you” to Operation Pocket Change and Mountain Electric Cooperative for making this possible for our community.
