Infusion therapy is used for conditions that either do not respond to oral medications or require a long duration of administration. It is also used to deliver medications that are not available in pill form, such as blood products and chemotherapy. We offer both chemo and non-chemo infusion at Appalachian Regional Healthcare System.

Chemotherapy Infusion

Patients diagnosed with cancer may receive chemotherapy infusions at the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center located behind the hospital. The medical oncology unit is on the main floor.

Non-Cancer Infusion

The Infusion Suite is located on the second floor of Watauga Medical Center  Monday through Friday from 8 am – 5 pm. Patients will take the hospital’s main lobby elevator to the second floor and check in at Outpatient Surgery just off of the elevator.

Medical Office Infusions

Some infusion patients who need infusions in an office setting will receive treatment at Appalachian Regional Internal Medicine Specialists (ARIMS). Your scheduler will inform you of your location.
