Infusion Services
Infusion therapy is used for conditions that either do not respond to oral medications or require a long duration of administration. It is also used to deliver medications that are not available in pill form, such as blood products and chemotherapy. We offer both chemo and non-chemo infusion at Appalachian Regional Healthcare System.
Chemotherapy Infusion
Patients diagnosed with cancer may receive chemotherapy infusions at the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center located behind the hospital. The medical oncology unit is on the main floor.
Non-Cancer Infusion
The Infusion Suite is located on the first floor of Watauga Medical Center Monday through Friday from 8 am – 5 pm. Patients should check in at the Main Registration, and then proceed to the infusion suite.
Medical Office Infusions
Some infusion patients who need infusions in an office setting will receive treatment at Appalachian Regional Rheumatology. Your scheduler will inform you of your location.
