Ultrasound Diagnostics and Guided Injections

Xiaflex Injections: The providers at AppOrtho use Xiaflex injections for the non-surgical treatment of adults with Dupuytren’s contracture, a condition that can lead to deformity of the hand. Knots of tissue from under the skin eventually create a thick cord that can pull one or more fingers into a bent position.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

The job of platelets in the body is to help blood clot when there is an injury. The cytokines and growth factors that are in platelets can help repair injuries and encourage healing. PRP Therapy involves the patient being given injections of his or her own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints.
