Dr. Bishop grew up in Florida and studied biological chemistry and economics at Florida Atlantic University in Jupiter, FL. He graduated medical school at the University of Miami. He completed his residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UNC Chapel Hill.
He enjoys running, hiking, camping, and ACC sports. He is an aspiring gardener. Although he only came to the High Country in 2020, he has dreamed of living in Western NC since he was a child.
Dr. Alycia Brown got her medical degree from UNC Chapel Hill in 2000. She did her psychiatric residency and child fellowship there as well. She worked in private practice in Graham, NC, and at a hospital and clinic in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but is happy to finally call the High Country her home.
Dr. Brown has a passion for treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and ADHD. She is double board certified in child and adult psychiatry, and she particularly enjoys working with adolescents and college students. In her off hours, she loves traveling, reading, and hiking with her border collie Riley.
Ella is a native of Avery County, NC and loves working in the community where she was born and raised. She received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1993, and a B.S. in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in 1996. She received her Masters degree in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2000, and a post-Masters Certification in Psych/Mental Health Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2019. She is board certified in both Family Practice and Psychiatric-Mental Health.
