Kevin Wolfe, MD received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana and completed Residency training in Internal Medicine and a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. While in training, he did medical research for the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
He initially used his research background to be the co-principle investigator of the Duval County (Florida) Lung Cancer Task Force, which investigated the high incidence of lung cancer morbidity and mortality in Northeast Florida and published several papers on the determinants of lung cancer in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dr. Wolfe is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. He has spent the last 18 years in private practice in Jacksonville, Florida, and has served the last six years as the Intensive Care Unit Medical Director for one of the local hospitals.
