Paul Vignola, MD, obtained his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed his residency at Yale’s New Haven Hospital and fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Vignola is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Vignola implemented the percutaneous coronary intervention (stenting) program at Watauga Medical Center.
Before joining The Heart & Vascular Center of Watauga Medical Center, Dr. Vignola served at several hospitals and heart institutes as director of the cardiac catheterization laboratories, including Florida Heart & Vascular Care at Aventura, and Mt. Sinai Medical Center of Florida. He trained several interventionalists while serving in Miami, Florida.
In his time outside of work, Dr. Vignola enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids.
