Three Appalachian Regional Healthcare System employees were recently selected from 65 nominations to receive Mountain Mover Awards for the second quarter.

This quarterly recognition is part of a new initiative to celebrate non-nursing staff at Watauga Medical Center, Appalachian Regional Medical Associates practices and at Avery Healthcare Market facilities.
“While we will continue to uplift and honor our nursing staff through DAISY and Sunflower Awards, we wanted to expand our recognition efforts to encompass all areas of our organization and give our exceptional non-nursing employees recognition,” said Christina Nurnberg, Employee Experience Specialist. “The Mountain Mover Award was created to recognize excellence among our non-nursing team members who demonstrate exceptional performance, creativity and innovation, leadership, customer service, teamwork, professionalism, adaptability, continuous learning, community involvement, and a positive attitude.”
