Annual Giving

Annual Gifts provide ongoing support for the many services, programs, equipment and education at Charles A. Cannon, Jr. Memorial Hospital and Watauga Medical Center. These gifts ensure the Foundation’s purpose – to assist ARHS in ensuring that its patients have access to advanced healthcare, that its caregivers have access to advanced medical resources and technologies, and that its donors realize great satisfaction in bringing the very best possible healthcare to individuals in the High Country.

Annual gifts may be unrestricted as to their use to support programs and areas of ARHS where the need is greatest; or, restricted in its use for specific equipment, programs, services or areas of the hospital that are meaningful to our donors, such as, each individual hospital, the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center, nursing scholarships or patient emergency funds.

Matching Gifts

Matching Gifts are one of the smartest ways to increase your support. Many companies offer to match donations their employees make to qualified charitable organizations, like the ARHS Foundation. These matches are often dollar-for-dollar, which doubles your charitable donation power. If your company has a matching gift program, you may participate by simply requesting a matching gift form from your employer. Send the form to us completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
